The Comeback, Valerie Makes A Pilot

Valerie produces her own pilot for a reality show that she hopes will get picked up by a cable network, but discovers that her archenemy, Paulie G., has his own series in the works with a plot that sounds all too familiar.

Valerie brings back Jane when the network wants her to use a professional crew to follow her backstage at "Seeing Red." Meanwhile, Billy gets Valerie an appointment with celebrity stylist Brad Goreski for the Golden Globes.

Valerie meets her costar, Seth Rogen, who will be playing the fictionalized Paulie G. on "Seeing Red." Later, a fantasy sequence tests Valerie's desire to be back in the spotlight.

Valerie reacts impulsively when she finds out that some of her "Seeing Red" scenes may be left on the cutting-room floor. Later, she polishes her improvisational skills with the Groundlings.

Valerie's set up for an exclusive interview by the network's publicity department. Later, Valerie visits Paulie G.'s old writing partner when she's concerned about her current boss.

Valerie's plans to spend Saturday night with Mark are wrecked when reshoots for Seeing Red are relocated to the middle of the desert.

"Seeing Red" premieres and Valerie deals with a barrage of reviews, but the harshest criticism comes not from the ladies on "The Talk" or the media but from her husband, Mark. Meanwhile, Valerie gets a surprise on a trip to Mickey's apartment.

It's the weekend of the Emmys in the second-season finale, and Valerie is riding high thanks to her success in "Seeing Red," and even gets noticed by a former "Room and Bored" costar at Juna's big bash, but she's still not sure if her husband, Mark, will be by her side on the most important night of her life.
