Shi Mumbi, Episode 8

Shimumbi finds himself in a messy situation when his girlfriend Belinda moves into his matrimonial home. The neighbor is having a field day spreading the gossip throughout the neighbourhood.

Shimumbi tries to regain control of the house by giving bana Mumbi some rules and also tries to put Belinda in her place for having too much freedom in the house.

With Belinda enjoying some new found freedom, Shimumbi tries to look for a house for her but ends up getting into his old habits of being a con man when an opportunity arises.

Bana Mumbi tries to get answers from Belinda since Shimumbi said he owes Belinda some money that is why she moved in with them.

Cop Darlington finally meets Shimumbi in the street again after the last time he was beaten. Belinda is tired and decides to take over the house.

The two cops mount an illegal roadblock and pull over a government official. Shimumbi gets money from Bana Mumbi to repay Belinda's debt but he instead takes Belinda out for a good time.

The roadblock scandal by the two cops becomes a serious issue when the news reach the Inspector of Police. Bana Mumbi can't escape the shame of another woman moving into her home.

Having had enough, Bana Mumbi leaves for Kapiri without telling anyone. Shi Mumbi panics and looks for her everywhere without any success, until a chance phone call alerts him.

With Bana Mumbi gone, Belinda finally becomes the boss lady of the house; she takes over running of the phone charging business. Shi Mumbi goes to look for money to also travel to kapiri.

Cop Darlington is informed that his niece was abducted, meanwhile with bana Mumbi away in Kapiri, Belinda organizes a drink up at the house with her friends.

The cops get a tip about the missing girl and they follow the lead. Belinda's aunt comes to visit her after Belinda tells her she is happily married to Shi Mumbi and living together.

In Kapiri, Shi Mumbi is tempted with the illiteracy of the villagers and decides to scam some goat farmers. Belinda's aunt is a nuisance and turns out she is just as bad as Belinda.

Having sold the goats, Shi Mumbi takes groceries to bana Mumbi hoping to impress her, this is after fetching water for her and cleaning. Shimumbi comes home and finds Belinda on a man's lap.

Shi Mumbi befriends his nosey neighbour and he even goes to repay the money he borrowed to travel to Kapiri. Aunty Catherine shows Belinda a phone she got from Rex's house.

Belinda is invited to church to try to change her misfortunes. Meanwhile Rex, who has squandered all his money is having a hard time to make to make ends meet.

Cop Darlington rejects his niece who faked the kidnapping to come and stay with them again. Bana Mumbi arrives from Kapiri in hurry to come and see Rex, only to discover he is not sick.

Shi Mumbi is locked up by cop Darlington for charges of owing money to someone. Bana Mumbi borrows money and goes to bail Shi Mumbi out but cop Darlington is not having it.

After Shi Mumbi is released, he realizes he has no true friends. Cop Ngulube brings a police uniform to wash at Rex's house. When he comes to get it back, he finds it gone.

Shi Mumbi is having a field day in the police uniform as he is making unsanctioned road blocks and getting money from unsuspecting drivers.

Ba Mayo arrives from Kapiri, she has escaped the goat farmers swindled by Rex, who in the meantime is recognised by some men who want to enlist in the police.

Ba Mayo informs bana Mumbi that Rex had promised to buy ba Mayo a farm in Lusaka. Belinda begins to spread rumours that Shi Mumbi is a satanist.

The police officer in charge and Darlington go to Shi Mumbi's house to question him about the scandals he is suspected of. Belinda and the Pastor pray to fight off attacks from the devil.

Rex is hit with some bananas from a car passing by, he goes home and lies that he was helping someone offload bananas from a truck.

Bana Mumbi confronts ba Mayo over the money she borrowed after noticing that ba Mayo is hiding after every knock.

Shi Mumbi arrives home and informs everyone that he has bought a car. Belinda is frustrated about the kind of wedding rehearsals that are being done at church and decides to cancel.

The rumours that Shi Mumbi is a satanist are gathering momentum, he and the family are now very disturbed by them.
