The contestants' baptism of fire kicks off with a bring-and-braai and speed-dating. Following the twists and turns typical to Kokkedoor, they find their soulmate for the long road to victory.
Episode 2Salt and pepper have been best mates for ages, but in this challenge the flavour companions have teams in a pickle. Biltong, bokkoms and mebos only add to the blood, sweat and tears.
Episode 3Tapas of sardines and squid tentacles bring undercurrents. Tiny fish may well be safer in a shoal, but the Kokkedore will soon find out that the smaller the fish, the greater the danger over the fire.
Episode 4The teams elevate mealies and everyday pantry staples to spectacular potjiekos. Kokkedoor veterans Mynhardt and Pasch lift the lid on the winning pot filled with caring for Meals on Wheels.
Episode 5The teams strap on their butcher's aprons. Meat saws in hand, they face open-fire chef Shaun Scrooby, who expects elegant five-star safari food from the forequarter and the backquarter.
Episode 6Cupid dips his arrows in honey for a romantic two-course candlelight dinner. The pantry overflows with indulgent ingredients, but one team's match-making of flavours sinks their love boat.
Episode 7Roaring engines and sizzling bacon and eggs mark the arrival of hungry bikers on their breakfast run. The contestants race against the clock to impress them with tacos, waffles and jaffles.
Episode 8Facing their worst fear, Kokkedore swop their braai tongs for wooden spoons. Baking old-school milk tart over the fire under the scrutiny of Kokkedoor Theresa de Vries is no piece of cake.
Episode 9The Kokkedore pull a rabbit out of the hat after lifting the lid on the strange and exotic. Resting on their laurels they are easily tripped up by familiar lamb chops, boerewors and drumsticks.
Episode 10The idiom 'too many cooks spoil the broth' leads to a team shocker and Afrikaans sayings inspire new dishes. Rina Hugo, music icon and braai lover, starts things off on a high note.
Episode 11Teams bring out their passports for a braai trip to fire cultures in faraway lands. Unfamiliar equipment and the weather add pressure as they battle it out for a place in the semi-finals.
Episode 12The semi-finalists enter the world of fine dining. Award-winning guest chef Jess van Dyk challenges the braaiers to interpret every element of her complex five-star dish over the fire.
Episode 13The finalists prepare a feast for their guests of honour at the Captain's Table inspired by the sumptuous final meal served on the Titanic. Whose boat will sink and who'll sail to victory?
