Tachimba returns to the village of Ubuntu and is promised to be named the heir to the throne by the sick Chief Mukango.
Before Chief Mukango dies, he names Thandiwena heir to the throne because of what Langiwe and Chawezi did.
Zelipa suspects Chawezi is up to no good and watches her and her sister Langiwe closely.
Mwiche is the two faced person who is neither here nor there, she is in love with a man who is only using her.
Chawezi later discovers with dismay that her sister in law Zelipa has decided to side with Tachimba on the matter of the succession.
He receives mounting pressure from the people in the city, he owes money to and is put under pressure to deliver on his promise of the land of Ubuntu.
Zelipa later on preys on careless Ziyenda who reveals that they have financial problems and that the company was bankrupt.
Chawezi is treated unfairly, this really upsets her as she knows that her husband's word must be respected as it is law.
Tachimba comforts Thandiwena and her mother, but he gives Zelipa a cold shoulder as he believes that she betrayed him like his brother Mukango did.
Thandiwena mourns her father and some sad memories are ignited for her. Chishango is trying to comfort her but she doesn't let him get too close.
Thandiwena's acceptance or rejection speech in the indaba is interrupted by a drunk unruly Enkaka, who starts a fight with Pendelo.
Galamukani and Tachimba approach Enkaka to join them in the vote while Zelipa,Mama Tutu and Langiwe use the women's votes to garner votes in Thandiwena's favour.
The first voting is canceled because Enkaka doesn't show up and its tense between the two contenders. Chawezi makes sure this time Enkaka fulfills his agreement.
Thandiwena is willing to get married in the time given to her by the Indunas, although she is unaware that she has to be married to someone of noble birth.
The day of the wedding arrives and Thandiwena is still intent on marrying both men. Seeing that Tachimba won't do anything desperate, Ziyenda visits a n'anga to get muti.
Mabvuto makes a bold claim for the throne while Mama Tutu tries to keep Kasongo from Nakamai. The indunas discuss what Mabvuto's return means for the throne.
When Langiwe fails to show up to Kuliwa's rescue, Kuliwa dies in Thandiwena's arms. Pendelo and Tachimba starts throwing accusations at Thandiwena.
Thandiwena is held overnight by the council while a desperate Chawezi tries to get her out. Mabvuto and Tachimba plot on how they can take advantage of Thandiwena's.
Chawezi lets Mabvuto know there is no place for him in the chieftaincy. Thandiwena and her mother argue. Tachimba is on a new mission.
The wedding ends in tragedy. Ziyenda makes a shocking confession to Tachimba and Langiwe fails to help where it matters.
Chawezi calls Langiwe out for her recent failures. Pendelo and Tachimba starts throwing accusations at Thandiwena.
Thandiwena is summoned by the council and Chawezi gets a shock of her life when two witnesses show up to testify against Thandiwena.
Mistreated and detained by the Council of Elders, Thandiwena remembers something from her childhood which troubles her deeply.
Thandiwena faces trial and almost loses her life. Chawezi is desperate and begs for help. Nakamai makes a hard decision.
Kasongo is haunted by a singing ghost.Thandiwena almost loses her life at Kuliwa's funeral.Tachimba and Mabvuto move to the next level of attack.
Thandiwena makes a long awaited recovery. Having fallen out with Tachimba, Mabvuto returns home. Mwiche's hurt and loneliness lead her to the arms of a stranger.
Langiwe tries to tell Mwaku that she could be pregnant but he won't listen to her.Tiku and Mwiche fight over Kasongo. Thandiwena's grief escalates into weirdness.
Chawezi cannot get to Thandiwena and Zelipa demands to know what is really wrong with Thandiwena.
Kasongo makes Tiku cry when he shares his dream with her. Thandiwena is behaving strange and no one can get to her.
Ziyenda is on a mission to discredit Thandiwena before the Council of Indunas. She tries to recruit someone in the palace to stand as her witness.
Tachimba visits Uncle Tachimba and gets reinforcements. The entire Ubuntu palace is under siege.
Mwaku and Kasongo gather up an army to help Thandiwena and the royal family out of a tricky situation.
Mwenzo and Pimpa discover a dead body in the bush. Mabvuto makes Zelipa feel guilty for failing to fulfill Mukango's wishes.
Tachimba have unexpected visitors in prison. Chawezi tries to discourage Thandiwena from appointing Mama Tutu and Langiwe as Indunas.
Langiwe is offered power restoration if she agrees to serve the dark gods by Sabina the witch of Tachimba. Mwenzo threatens Mwaku that she'll reveal his secret.
Chawezi's witch keeps tormenting Chawezi even in her death bed. The spirits force Tiku to rescue Tachimba from the evil forest.
Mabvuto is rejected as a sacrifice by the dark gods. Mwaku supports Langiwe's appointment as an Induna.
Pimpa loses her unborn child through a miscarriage tempered by Chawezi and her witch. Tachimba and Sabina want Mwiche to be cleansed of the slave girl's spirit.
Mwiche goes missing, Tachimba and Ziyenda are worried. Tiku confronts Mabvuto over what he did to Pimpa but she is disappointed when nothing is done to him.
Ziyenda is desperate to find her daughter and consults a familiar face to consult the spirits on her behalf. Tachimba discovers who has Mwiche.
Thandiwena is discharged from hospital and struggles with the idea of returning home to Ubuntu. Tachimba is keeping a secret from Ziyenda but she soon finds out.
Langiwe is in a dilemma and will have to make a decision. Chawezi confronts Mwaku, who decides to fight back.The Spirits show Langiwe someone very important.
A desperate Tachimba gets some help from Galamukani. Mwaku is forced to confront his painful past.
Tiku is put to the test and discovers her new abilities . A huge secret is revealed that can stop Thandiwena's coronation. Zelipa and Chawezi fall out.
Tachimba falls in the hands of Patel. Thandiwena takes charge of the affairs in the Mukango household. Chawezi makes her sacrifice on behalf of Thandiwena.
