Kwaku is on a business trip when he hears the news that his Uncle Nana Amoako the Chief has passed away and that he is one of those next in line to be Chief of the village.
Queen mother, after conferring with her courtiers decides that the cause of Nana Amoako's death should never be made public because maybe he committed suicide.
Kwaku solicits his wife Ama's views on the possibility of him being selected as the new Chief of his village. Ama is of the opinion that it destroys some family values.
Kwaku visits the village with his parents and his siblings to pay his respects to his late uncle, the former chief. The Queen mother and her courtiers made funeral plans.
Kwabena Sakyi proposes the village benefitted from the wisdom of the younger ones and believes Clinton, Kwaku's brother who is a respected Doctor will be a competent chief.
Kwaku has a conversation with his mother, and she makes her stands clear on the chieftaincy succession issue to him; she is against any of her sons being the next chief.
Kwaku discusses his reasons of wanting to be chief with his elder brother and it is clear his brother wants nothing to do with being Chief. Kwaku seems to like the idea.
It is the one-week celebration of Nana Amoako's death. Aunty Lizzy is present with her children as well as the Queen mother alongside Kwabena Sakyi and palace courtiers.
In a meeting of the elders, Kwabena Sakyi insists that his nephew Clinton is a grown man and he be forced to accept his destiny as Chief. Queen mother thinks of Aunty Lizzy.
Kofi Asamoah the retired CID officer has taken it upon himself to investigate the death of Nana Amoako. Investigation commences in the village gathering insight of the dead chief.
Kwabena Sakyi travels to the city to meet up with his nephew. In the conversation he begs him not tell his mother and that a man usually makes decisions.
