Joalette invites us into her life in the coastal town of Swakopmund. She meets up with Bianka and they travel to George's farm in the nearby desert where they cook a tangy pork knuckle potjie.
Joalette travels to Duineveld, an area in the Kalahari. Here, she meets Bennie and Lonnie. Lonnie teaches her how to make bread with limited water, and Bennie makes a savoury biltong potjie.
Joalette heads to Oshaandja to meet Tangi. They work in the fields and collect ingredients for the potjie. Tangi makes a locally known 'marathon' chicken potjie with pearl millet porridge.
Joalette visits Twee Rivier. Here she meets Calvin and Linda who take her on a tour of the farm. Linda reveals her 'roosterbrood' recipe while Calvin makes an appetising offal potjie.
Joalette is in the Namibian capital, Windhoek, where she meets the two chefs, Eduan and Fanie. After exploring the city, they make homemade rusks, biltong and finally, a delicious oxtail potjie.
Joalette goes to the harbour town Walvis Bay where she meets Salie. He takes her through his old neighbourhood. They go foraging for mussels and end up making a tasty seafood potjie.
Joalette travels to Houmoed, where she meets Rebeka. Rebeka shows her how to care for goats and what sewing means in her culture. Afterwards,, they make a mouth-watering goat potjie.
Joalette visits Rietkuil, where she meets Rudy and Lawrencia. After a short tour of the farm, Rudy takes her to find firewood and Lawrencia makes a scrumptious sheep potjie with dumplings.
Joalette stops over in Mupini where she meets Veikko. Together, they collect forest fruits and go fishing at the Kavango River. They end up cooking a flavourful tilapia potjie.
Joalette visits Bertie at Sophienhof near Outjo. They go on a game drive, during which Joalette gets up close with some of the wildlife. Bertie makes a hearty springbok potjie with 'roosterbrood'.
Joalette goes to Seikgobotso. Here, she meets Hubertha, who shows Joalette around her farm. Hubertha makes an aromatic, pounded meat potjie with samp and stewed makataan for dessert.
Joalette stops over on the Otjiungukwa farm, where she meets Moscow and Charlene. Joalette learns how to milk cows and make traditional bread. Charlene cooks a wholesome beef chunk potjie.
Joalette travels to Lüderitz where she meets Mary and Barry, a lovely married couple. Barry takes them to Diaz Point to catch crayfish, and Mary makes a crayfish potjie to remember.
