Grootboom And Sons, Episode 9

With MK as the new head of Grootboom and Sons, everybody has to toe the line and act grateful when he generously splits the company shares equally amongst them.

MK's son is released from prison. Mbulelo rushes Imani to the hospital and begs his family to make sure that Kefilwe's family receive his letter.

MK is disappointed when Luthando chooses Didi over him. Mbulelo finally brings Imani and the baby home from the hospital, and Kefilwe's lobola negotiations are concluded.

MK tries to figure out who's behind the shooting. Mbulelo is burdened with the tough decision he has to make while Kefilwe's life hangs in the balance.

Mbulelo is inconsolable. Funeka seems to be the only one fully invested in seeing Grootboom and Sons rise from the ashes. MK is paranoid and can't sleep.

It's the day of the funerals and a battle of the burials ensues. There is a strange man lurking by Andile Grootboom's grave.

Mbulelo struggles to juggle being a new father but he refuses any help. Phiri checks up on Luthando, who is struggling with adjusting to life outside of prison.

Luthando introduces his family to his father and Funeka welcomes them with open arms, leaving MK feeling betrayed. Kefilwe is ecstatic to have another woman in the house.

Funeka is overwhelmed by the responsibility of overseeing Luthando's cleansing ceremony. Didi advises Kefilwe to lure Mbulelo back into her bed.

MK surprises the family by dividing all their shares to give Luthando a rightful cut. Zola takes matters into his own hands and meets with the rival funeral parlour.

Mbulelo schools his brother on how business deals are actually done. Funeka's lupus starts flaring up again, but she refuses to take it easy.

Funeka has her meeting with the rival company about selling Grootboom and Sons. Later, Zola shoots his shot and finally declares his undying love to Kefilwe.

When Funeka fails to pitch for her meeting with the rival company, they give Zola a call, assuming that she was negotiating on their behalf. Funeka is rushed to the hospital.
