A man is brought before Mwine Mushi accused of witchcraft. He was found in the wee hours of the morning stark naked, and the villagers have assumed that he is a wizard.

Could it be that Polopela who Mwine Mushi keeps shutting up is correct in saying the man is a mad man from the insane asylum and quite violent?

Polopela is one of the few men who believe in educating their partners. However, now educated, his partner Justina changes her mind about marrying him.

Polopela's uncle, who has been warning him of the disadvantages of educating a girl, turns on him with the words, "You were wasting time!".

Pezulo has been mourning his late wife for many years. Finally, after much persuasion from his family, he agrees to move on and get married to Lucy.

Polopela does not agree to this union and threatens Pezulo. "I have a son with Lucy," Polopela claims.

Polopela has a system of making his friend drunk nearly half to death and then sneaking into his home to be with his wife.

He indeed discovers the allegations against his friend were true and takes him to Mwine Mushi who is incensed.

Pezulo and Mama Luyando are amazed at how Polopela manages to pay all the marriage fees required of him by custom all at once.

Polopela goes to Mwine Mushi with a complaint against Pezulo who he claims beat him up badly. Mwine Mushi is angered by this.

At the hearing, it is revealed that the reason for the beating was because Pezulo found Polopela touching his wife in very bad places.

On a normal day after a drinking spree with his friends, Pezulu mistakes day for night and walks butt naked before his wife and children.

This has never happened before and witchcraft is fingered as the cause. Mubon'gu, who Pezulu had previously quarreled with is named as the one messing with his mind.

After many failed attempts, Type finally manages to find a woman to make his wife in the person Justina and a grand wedding is held.

Everyone in the village, Mwine Mushi included, is happy about this new development except Justina's own mother.
