Dexter, Monkey In A Box

Six months after LaGuerta's death, Dexter attempts to manage life as a father, brother and serial killer.

As Miami Metro continue their hunt for the killer nicknamed "Brain Surgeon". Dr Vogel enlists Dexter's help, while Debra takes matters into her own hands.

Dr. Vogel tries to prove to Dexter that he's perfect as a psychopath. Debra's PTSD kicks in and she makes a desperate plea.

Dexter tracks down another potential serial killer from Dr. Vogel's list. Quinn celebrates passing the sergeant's exam by defending Debra's honour in a fight.

Dr. Vogel comes into contact with the Brain Surgeon, while Dexter and Debra try to keep her safe. Masuka gets a surprising visit.

Dexter monitors a young psychopath to see if he is suited for his table. Dexter and Debra finally get back to normal, but are surprised by his ex.

Dexter hunts down Hannah, to figure out what brought her back to Miami. In the process, he takes on a protégé and begins teaching him the code.

Dexter becomes concerned when it appears that Zach may have murdered an innocent person. Hannah becomes desperate to escape the country.

Dr. Vogel gets the surprise of a lifetime, when someone from her past returns. Dexter investigates a murder that hits close to home.

Clayton becomes suspicious of Dexter and deepens his investigation of Hannah. Dexter tries to lure the Brain Surgeon into a trap with Dr. Vogel's help.

Hannah prepares to flee the country, while Dexter is torn between joining her or taking out the Brain Surgeon for good. Debra and Clayton are drawn into the fray.

With a hurricane brewing and making its Miami, Dexter is faced with impossible odds.
