Makofi, Episode 16

After Anna's commonwealth title, she climbs up the ladder of success. Andy, with occasional help from Joe tries to keep the Makofi gym afloat but Boxers keep on quitting.

Anna struggles to accept her brain tumor, she tries to reach out to her mother but izukanji being too preoccupied makes Anna feel alone.

Moses finds a friend in Feston, he is advised to get close to the prison warder if he wants power. Bosco gets in cahoots with Gideon, they plan on marking medusa to swindle Moses.

Gideon is unhappy when Bosco includes Hannah in the scam without his consent.

Anna promises to finish what Andy started, she meets with investors and architects planning the formation of the academy, she has a panic attack, she visits the doctor.

Anna struggles to accept she has a year to live, her funding with mobile Africa pulls through and she soon announces the launching of Makofi boxing academy.

The first section of the boxing academy is complete as anna opens her doors to the dozens of candidates ready to register. Hannah and Gideon break into Moses' safe house.

Cece loses her fight, she begs Anna for another chance but is asked to go home. Hannah manages to escape a suspicious Bosco.

Cecelia tries to register again under a false name but is caught by Trudy, the blow out results in Anna losing her cool and banning Cece from Makofi.

Anna experiences a large memory loss which results in her missing the official announcement of the boxers. It infuriates Trudy who suspects Anna's drinking habits may have returned.

When Anna and Trudy fight, Anna is forced to open up to Trudy. Cece tells Anna about her life story, it strikes a chord with Anna who decides to give her an opportunity.

Anna makes arrangements to visit a specialist, she avoids the topic when Trudy questions her about leaving boxing forever.

Dr. Prashant tells Anna how she intends to help her through behavioural therapy. Anna doubts therapy can help her.

Jessy and Tiwonge have a standoff separated by the other boxers but because she started the fight, only Jessy is punished to clean the gym with Cece.

Anna, not wanting to fight lies to Joe that she is pregnant, she gets judged by Trudy as the two find themselves at odds again.

Anna admits she regrets lying about her pregnancy but she isn't ready to tell the truth. Joe lets the cat out of the bag as Anna's pregnancy goes viral.

Anna is buried deeper in her own lies as an excited Izukanji makes travel plans to visit her pregnant daughter.

Anna agrees to hosting a tournament after clashing with a cunning Ms. Lydia. Dr. Prashant teaches Anna a technique to deal with her anxiety attacks.

Anna struggles to accept the new Izukanji, she fails to put the blame of her pregnancy on Andy and comes clean. Donovan confronts Medusa about her lies, she confesses the truth.

While Gideon instigates a nation-wide vendetta against Makuzza. Donovan leaves all he knows behind in search of his father, Moses. As Anna struggles to grasp a hold of her anxiety attacks.

When Jessy suggests that Cece replace Shekinah, she is met with resistance. Nevertheless, Cece takes the opportunity and fights for the victory of Makofi Academy's first tournament.

Anna realizes she has to make the best out of her life, she apologizes to Joe and Trudy for her behavior and devotes herself to the academy.

The boxers get into a fight at a nightclub and get arrested. Anna is forced to bail them out after she deals with a hounding press and Makuzza showing up at her doorstep.

Anna, attempting to be a better leader advises the boxers instead of punishing them. She is pressured by Ms. Lydia to resolve the bad publicity.

Anna feels the pressure to resolve the Makuzza and Bosco fight, she tries to reason with Bosco, but instead he uses it against her live on a national talk show.

As Gideon receives Makuzza's consent to fight, he gathers old tapes of Makuzza. Bosco soon notices tendencies in Makuzza's fighting style, he seeks to use it to his advantage.

Just as Donovan and Moses have a heart to heart, Moses is taken back to prison. Shekinah is left heartbroken when Chota makes it clear, they're not an item.

As Bosco searches for the right coach, Joe points him in the direction of an unlikely coach. Chota makes his intentions clear to Jessy, she still doesn't give him a chance.

Jessy shows her disappointment violently when she spars with Chota, she lets him know they will never be friends.

As Bosco and Makuzza's fight escalates, Gideon struggles to sell the television rights to the fight. Anna feels the expense of running the academy from her own pocket.

When Davis is taken away from Cecelia, she tries to find a way to turn pro early.

As Gideon battles the fallout of Kalumba's statement, he concocts a new plan to handle the media. Meanwhile, Donovan struggles to find Moses' lawyer.

Cece and Tiwonge connive to confront Anna but Jessy catches wind of it. Hurt by Cece's distrust, Jessy confides in Chota.

As Anna debates weather to accept Gideons invite, she battles unruly boxers who threaten to leave the academy.

When Marvin and John are caught with the video, Marvin betrays John and blames it all on him. Bitter with Marvin, John brutally attacks him.

As Marvin makes a recovery, John is blamed and expelled from Makofi academy. Even after an eventful day with Chota, Jessy fails to trust him completely.

As Johns expulsion stirs mixed feelings amongst the academy's boxers. Makuzza and Bosco train for their fight.

Makuzza goes into the ring worried about Kalumba's pregnancy complications. In the fight Bosco anticipates Makuzza's every move and dominates the first rounds.

As Makuzza and Bosco fight in the ring, Bosco gets emotional and loses the fight.

As Moses comes to see the light at the end of the tunnel, Gideon attempts to solidify himself as the top promoter, he encounters an unlikely enemy and friend.

As Anna tries to help Cece with personal problems, she finds herself at a crossroads when Marvin confesses he was the mastermind behind Makuzza recordings.

Anna appears is court as Moses' trial begins. Gideons new enemy tries to stifle his strides.

As Anna is sworn in as a witness, she paints Moses black, infuriating him to the point he makes a furious outburst in court.

As Eric and Anna's attractions flare, he advises her to stiffen the competition at the gym. When Joe is pressurized and chokes on the witness stand.

Anna is influenced by Eric and his charm, she tells him about her CTE. Gideons quest to follow the diamonds leads him to a murder and a witness that could keep Moses in prison forever.

As boxers set eyes on the Copper Gloves Tournament, the competition stiffens as many want the single slot. The light Moses sees at the end of the tunnel blackens.

When Moses feels he is losing his sons faith, he manipulates Donovan into bribing the judge. The boxers at Makofi discover who raped Shekinah.

When the girls discover who sexually assaulted Shekinah, they're stirred with emotion and take matters into their own hands. Moses meets Feston and asks him to take care of Chisomo.

As Anna struggles to decide who to believe between Shekinah and Eric, He organises a romantic dinner and a diamond ring. Moses seeks to regain his dominance but Donovan stands in-between.

When Anna realizes the truth about her fiancé, Eric is forced to show his dark side. Meanwhile, Gideon gets paranoid about his safety.

When Eric escapes in the nick of time, he is consumed by his own delusions - his obsession with Anna manifests.

Eric is forced to flee when the police try and set him up. Gideon warns Moses to stay out of his way. Meanwhile, a boxing official Kafupi, grows concerned at the level of corruption.

When Shekinah leaves Makofi Anna blames herself for everything that transpired, she gives everyone a few days off. Meanwhile Gideon seeks to have a stake at the commonwealth mandatory fight.

Gideon stretches himself thin exposing his extortive methods to a potential whistle blower.

Gideon mistreats Jabulani to the point of betrayal, he joins forces with the whistle blower, Kafupi to get Gideon off his back.

Cece takes her career into her own hands when Anna refuses to support her turning professional. Meanwhile, Moses has second thoughts about working with Gideon.

Jabulani sends a message by firing corrupt boxing officials, Gideon feeling cornered retaliates with violence but fails when he realizes Jabulani is protected.

Moses discovers Cecelia and convinces her to challenge Anna to a mandatory fight. Gideon tries to sabotage Jabulani and Moses' partnership.

Anna tires to resolve tensions with Cecelia but it results in a street fight. When Moses challenges Donovan to prove his worth, he finds an opportunity to deal with Gideon.

Anna and Cecelia's fight rekindles the forced trauma to Anna's head. Donovan's attack on Gideon leaves Moses prideful, they are ready to take on the city.
