Turn Up The Volume, Thousand Miles

In the season premiere, Breeze has never drummed, Jam and Vivi won't stop arguing, and Ginger hides in her music. In crisis mode, they band together in a rocky start for these rock stars in the making.

Vivi is shaken when she becomes the target of an online bullying page. Meanwhile, the bandmates just aren't listening to each other. Enters Hex, whose discerning ear may be the key.

The Volume need to write a song but aren't gelling, so Hex proposes that they all write separately. Breeze blames their lack of life experience for her writing woes, so she breaks free in search of inspiration.

Vivi campaigns to get the band their first gig, insisting they increase the practices if they're serious about Footsgroovia. However, this is difficult for Hex, who has to travel from Ballarat each day.

The pressure is on for the band's debut gig at Leo's party. Vivi's in turbo mode. Breeze is amped for her first party, and Jam is all clammed up at the thought of singing in front of a crowd.

With the band dynamic in shambles, it's bad timing to be performing for the Footsgroovia selection panel. Meanwhile, Ginger reluctantly leans on her bandmates for support at a memorial gig for her dad.

The Volume are devastated when they miss out on a slot to perform at the Footsgroovia Festival. Meanwhile, Vivi tries to figure out who she really is by leaning into her Asian identity.

In a final attempt to land a slot at Footsgroovia, the band devises a plan to boost its profile by busking in Footscray. However, when things keep going wrong, it seems someone is sabotaging them.

Leading up to their first gig, things are super awkward between Jam and Vivi. Breeze is resentful about always being overlooked, while Ginger and Hex's friendship is splintering.

In the season finale, festival day finally arrives, but everything that can go wrong does go wrong. Will they make it in time to Footsgroovia to play?
