How do I pay for Showmax using M-Pesa or Safaricom?: Paying for Showmax has become that much easier as you can pay using M-Pesa and Safaricom in three easy ways:
1. M-Pesa Pay-bill *375# USSD:
Dial the USSD string *375#.
Select Pick a Plan and choose your preferred Showmax Plan.
Confirm the purchase.
Enter your M-Pesa PIN.
Click the link sent via SMS to take you to the Showmax website. If you already have a Showmax Account simply sign in, or if you're a new customer then follow the steps to create your Showmax Account.
Your subscription is active, and you are ready to start watching.
2. Safaricom Integrated Bundle:
Dial the USSD string *544#.
Select Go Monthly.
Choose your preferred Showmax plan.
Confirm the purchase.
Enter your M-Pesa PIN.
Click the link sent via SMS to take you to the Showmax website. If you already have a Showmax Account simply sign in, or if you're a new customer then follow the steps to create your Showmax Account.
Your subscription is active, and you are ready to start watching.
Good to know: If you are buying for for someone else, enter their mobile number.
3. M-Pesa on the platform:
Go to Showmax.com and sign up.
Choose your Plan.
Choose your Plan type.
Create your Account.
Select See more payment options.
Select Once-Off payment.
Select M-Pesa and enter your mobile number.
Enter your M-Pesa PIN.
Verify your account and start watching.
Good to know: If you have an existing payment method with a Showmax partner, you will first need to cancel that billing arrangement before you can select a new billing partner.
How do I change my payment method?: To change your payment method:
Go to Showmax.com and sign in.
Go to Account via the top-right menu bar.
Select Plans & Payments.
Select Update Payment Method.
Choose a new payment method and follow the steps.
Why am I billed in the local currency?: In certain countries, we may bill you for the subscription fees in your local currency as per our terms and conditions Clause 11.3.8.
The currency in which we will bill you will be displayed within the price points of the subscription fee.
What lengths of Showmax subscriptions are available?: Monthly Subscriptions
If you choose a monthly payment option, your subscription will automatically deduct funds each month until you cancel.
Once-off Subscriptions
You can choose to pay once by card for a 1 -, 3-, 6- or 12-month subscription.
Prepaid subscription: How do I know if my card is enabled for 3D secure payments?: We recommend cardholders to check with their bank if their card is already enabled for 3D secure payments and have updated your online shopping limits.
When will I be billed for my Showmax subscription?: We capture your billing details when you subscribe to Showmax. If you have chosen a recurring monthly payment method, the date you subscribe will be your billing date every month.
E.g. If you subscribed to Showmax on the 10th, you will be billed on the 10th of every month.
The only exception is if you sign up on the 29th, 30th of 31st of the month, and you are being billed in a month that does not have these dates. In this case, you will be billed earlier.
E.g. If you subscribed to Showmax on the 31st of January, you will be billed on the 28th of February 31st March and 30th April.
