Ramatu opens up to Leslie about her painful past, and how she survived rape and trauma at the hands of her aunt's boyfriend, revealing the scars that shaped her tough exterior.

Leslie disappoints Kate by skipping their plans to pick her up, choosing instead to spend time with Ramatu, his bold new friend from the ghetto who has captured his heart.

Mac Angel is stunned when her son brings Ramatu home. Kate, already in the house, is heartbroken and unable to hide her pain as the scene unfolds before her eyes.
