The rivalry between the two families originates from the previous generations, until fate intervenes to unite Chiyumba's only daughter, NAMPINDI and Mazoka's only son Dimuna.
Chiyumba's sister Kasuwa calls to warn him that the meeting with Mazoka is a trap and he needs to get away right away.
Detective Ng'andu is met with reluctance from her boss when she mentions investigating the minibus violence.
Nampindi finds herself feeling completely out of her element as she struggles to perform simple tasks in Maala, but her struggles lead her to a second meeting with Dimuna.
The Machila minibus batteries are stolen and the drivers believe it is the work of the Shimuunzas trying to sabotage them. Chiyumba is concerned about escalating troubles.
Nampindi and his aunt Kasuwa make a real connection in the revelation of the past. Dimuna is surprised to discover who Nampindi really is.
Nampindi struggles with her preparations for her nkolola when her secret meetings with Dimuna are discovered and she finds out who he really is.
Chiyumba makes a choice. Nampindi's nkolola finally takes place and Dimuna is unable to stay away. Meanwhile, the Shimuunzas prepare to strike.
Chiyumba announces his plans for peace. Can he bring an end to generations of conflict? Lilian draws Chisomo closer to her by buying the kind of things Thokozani can't.
