Bazothini is scarred when her mother is not impressed by her promotion. At a party, Bazothini's jealousy gets the better of her and she gets into a fight with Nobuhle, which ends in death.

At the funeral, MaNgobese realises that there is something going on between Julia and Siboniso. Bazothini stops feeling sorry for herself and makes a decision that shocks Mhlengi.

Called to action by Julia's determination, Bazothini makes a decision that finally gets her a compliment from her mother. MaNgobese and Bazothini gang up on Julia.

Mhlengi moves into the mansion. Julia takes full advantage of Mhlengi's presence and immerses herself in Siboniso's life. Frustrated, Bazothini makes a heartbreaking decision.

Mcashelwa urges Mhlengi to fight, but Mhlengi's attempt ends in heartbreak. When Julia learns what happened between Bazothini and Mhlengi, she gets desperate and visits a sangoma.

Siboniso finds himself wondering if there is any truth to the accusations about Bazothini. He finally decides to go see a sangoma, which puts Bazothini's livelihood in jeopardy.

Just as Bazothini and Siboniso's relationship intensifies, Julia comes back and vows to destroy her. Mhlengi decides to get revenge on Siboniso. But it ends badly for both of them.

When Bazothini can't bring herself to hurt Mhlengi, she manipulates Siboniso into getting him out of jail. Mhlengi blackmails Bazothini into getting back with him.

Bazothini is devastated when she learns what MaNgobese did to Mhlengi. When Mdunge refuses to attend the wedding, Siboniso proves his love for Bazothini by stepping in.

Bazothini tries to set Mhlengi up, but he proves to be wiser than she remembers. Upon being kicked out of the mansion, Bazothini makes a confession that leaves MaNgobese paralyzed.

MaNgobese makes a decision that confuses Bazothini. Siboniso realizes he has a big problem in his hands when Bazothini makes it clear she is not going anywhere.

Julia applies pressure on Siboniso and he succumbs. Bazothini gives Mhlengi the best goodbye ever. Alone with the kids, Bazothini finds herself at the mercy of an inkabi.

When Bazothini learns that Siboniso was behind the hit on her, she realizes just how much he hates her, and decides to go back home. There, she becomes the talk of the town.
