Elani has made a fatal mistake and must reflect on her sins. Jolene's gang leader patient is growing stronger, while complications arise with the little girl who was shot.
Sollie discovers that Veronica is not playing with open cards. Fezile asks Gustav to operate on his father instead of Jolene. Tyson and his mother receive devastating news.
Karima wrestles with a difficult decision. A patient disappears from the operating table while Fezile was supposed to watch him. Louw gets stuck in an elevator with a pregnant woman in labour.
Elani loses a very dear battle at work and can't handle the pressure of her daily profession. Veronica and Sollie's mothers come to visit in an attempt to save a marriage.
Louw and Karima get married, but he struggles to adjust to married life. Fezile performs breast augmentation on a transgender woman. Jolene's past catches up with her when she has to save her stepfather's life.
Veronica's divorce takes a turn. Elani can continue her internship in London. Louw and Karima's new marriage encounters some bumps along the way. Fezile helps Jolene out of a tough situation.
Elani is moving to London. Veronica's entire house gets burglarised. Suzanne realises that Daniël is not the right person for her, and Jolene completely breaks down at her stepfather's funeral.
Jolene is forced to confront her skeletons when sent to drug rehabilitation. Fezile's father loses his battle against his health problems.
Gustav decides to extend Jolene's sentence. Marius convinces Jolene to move back in with him. Daniel invites Veronica for dinner at his house, but things go horribly wrong.
Elani tells her mother that she has decided to stay in South Africa but is unprepared for the consequences. Suzanne convinces Gustav to let go of his grudge against Jolene.
Elani moves in with Veronica and Jolene. A sick patient causes the entire emergency department to be shut down. Gustav experiences a major setback. Louw finally tells Karima the truth.
After the previous episode's 'excitement,' two marriages lie in ruins. Karima's baby is born prematurely. Daniel finally makes a choice about his future.
