Katrien's condition is critical. Rene and Hans share important news with the family. Adele turns to Corne for help and Lara is doubtful whether or not Jaco will return from Spain.

Lara has her hands full with a divorce settlement. Burger offers Katrien a new job. Rene faces a difficult decision and Lilani gives Conrad very bad advice.

Rene struggles to adapt after her operation. Ben comes to the aid of a teacher who was suspended. Adele and Wian argue over Mandisa's future and Luke hides a secret from his family.

Thandi has a chance to get her job back, but must solve an impossible case. Ben goes on a conference and meets an old friend of Lara's. An old client of Lara returns.

Lara tries her best to prove Marco's innocence while Ben accepts his fate as head of the practice. Luke and Richard go camping while Corne learns what it means to live together.

Lara has a lack of confidence in herself and the magistrate-position, while Ben slowly but surely edge towards breaking point. Katrien finally tells Burger the truth about Kobus.

The van Wyk's celebrate probably their last Christmas with Rene. Corne clashes with Christelle's dad over the Christmas meal. Dolf learns a thing or two about parenting from Gertrude's father.

Corné's center for law practices open its doors and the Van Wyk family bid René goodbye in Graaff-Reinett.
