At his father's will reading, Vusi learns he needs to be married to access his inheritance. If not, he stands to lose his mansion and fancy lifestyle.

Vusi gets on one knee and proposes to Rea, the ever-romantic, only for Rea to realise that it is for money. After being conflicted about the arrangement, Rea agrees to marry Vusi.

Vusi and Rea have sex, but it means nothing to Vusi. To Rea, however, it means everything. Vusi's mother finds out about their marriage.

Vusi's world crumbles around him. Rea has moved out of the mansion, his mother is not talking to him, and this 'mgowo' has made him realise that he loves Rea. Is it too late to make things right?
