- How do I change my payment method?
To change your payment method:
- Go to Showmax.com and sign in.
- Go to Account via the top-right menu bar.
- Select Plans & Payments.
- Select Update Payment Method.
- Choose a new payment method and follow the steps.
- Why am I billed in the local currency?
In certain countries, we may bill you for the subscription fees in your local currency as per our terms and conditions Clause 11.3.8.
The currency in which we will bill you will be displayed within the price points of the subscription fee.

- How do I pay for Showmax using my MTN or Vodacom airtime?
New Showmax account holders
- Go to showmax.com and sign up.
- Choose your plan.
- Choose your plan type.
- Create your account.
- Choose "Pay with Airtime" and select "MTN" or "Vodacom".
- Enter your MTN or Vodacom number.
- Enter the OTP number.
- Verify your account and start watching.
Existing Showmax account holders
- Go to showmax.com and sign in.
- Go to account on the top right corner.
- Under the plans and payments tab select "update payment".
- Choose "Pay with Airtime" and select "MTN" or "Vodacom".
- Enter your MTN or Vodacom number.
- Enter the OTP number.
- Confirm the subscription.
- Your subscription is active, and you are ready to start watching.
Please note: If you have an existing payment method, you will first need to cancel that billing arrangement with the partner before you can select a new billing partner.

- When will I be billed for my Showmax subscription?
We capture your billing details when you subscribe to Showmax. The date you subscribe will be the date you are billed every month if you have chosen the recurring monthly payment method. For example, if you subscribed on the 10th of the month, you will be billed on the 10th of every month going forward.
- What if my Showmax subscription has expired?
You will need to reactivate your subscription.
To reactivate your subscription:
- Go to Showmax.com and sign in.
- Go to Account via the top-right menu bar.
- Select Plans & Payments.
- Choose a new payment method and follow the steps.
You will be billed immediately for the next month and thereafter will be billed automatically every month.
- How do I add my Showmax subscription to my DStv Account?
Follow the below steps to add Showmax to your DStv monthly subscription.
1. Go to the MyDStv Self- Service website or app.
2. Sign in using your DStv customer details.
3. Click My products, and go to Subscriptions, then select your active DStv subscription.
4. Select the plus sign (+) on Add to This Subscription.
5. Go to the Showmax banner and click (+) Add.
6. Click on Accept to accept the quote for adding Showmax.
7. On the payment options page, you will be prompted to make payment if required.
8. Click Continue to Showmax.
9. Create an account if you don't have Showmax yet or sign in with your Showmax customer details if you're already a Showmax subscriber.
10. Start watching.
