I've been charged twice
If you've been charged twice in one month for Showmax, take a look at the common reasons below:
You've signed up via a partner and your Showmax account has not been connected
If you subscribed to Showmax via a local provider, but are still being charged separately for your Showmax subscription, please Contact our Customer Care Team.
You have multiple Showmax subscriptions
If you signed up for Showmax Entertainment and Showmax Premier League separately, you may be billed on different dates for each subscription. For more information on billing dates, take a look at When will I be billed for my Showmax subscription?
A member of your household has used the same payment card to create a separate account
If another member of your household also has a Showmax account and is using the same payment method, you will see this as two separate charges on your bank statement.
You have more than one Showmax account
You may have other active Showmax accounts. For example, you may have signed up for Showmax using an alternative email address and mobile number to take advantage of an offer. We suggest checking any other email addresses and making sure you have cancelled all subscriptions you're not using.
I've cancelled but I'm still being charged
You might continue to be charged even after cancelling your Showmax subscription for various reasons:
You subscribed through a partner provider
If you subscribed to Showmax via a local provider, you need to cancel your subscription directly with them, as they control your billing agreement.
You cancelled the account, not the direct debit
If you cancelled your Showmax subscription but you’re still being charged, you may not have fully completed the cancellation journey. We suggest retrying your cancellation and making sure you receive an email confirmation once you're done. You can also cancel your direct debit directly with your bank. Someone else restarted your subscription
It's possible that someone may have accidentally restarted your Showmax subscription. We suggest you sign out from all your devices and reset your password to ensure no one else can start using your Showmax account, before retrying the cancellation.
