Mettlestate is a premium eSports and gaming authority in South Africa, aiming to be the leader in content creation by combining outstanding production, excellent talent and lively events to cultivate more interest in the competitive gaming industry.
The start date is 01 August 2025, and the end date is 30 September 2025. The competition is limited to SA only and for persons 18 years and older living in South Africa.
  • In celebration of Youngins Season 3, Showmax is giving away the chance to participate in an eSports tournament on the Mettlestate platform, offering a cash prize of up to R10 000 for a grand final winner and R5 000 for the runner-up.
  • To be awarded the full cash prize, players must have an active Showmax subscription.
  • The tournament is aimed at engaging the youth nationwide, specifically 18 - 30 years old, and create excitement around the upcoming new season, whilst playing the popular fighting game Tekken.
  • At the end of the tournament, the top two players will compete in a final at an in-person event that will also celebrate the launch of Youngins S3 alongside our main cast members (namely Ayakha Ntunja, Kealeboga Masango, Lebohang Lephatsoana, Thabiso Ramotshela and Toka Mtabane).
