How do I set up Parental Controls on Showmax?

There are two types of parental controls you can set up to ensure kids watch only age appropriate Showmax content: Age Restrictions and Profile PIN. 
  
<h2>Setting Age Restrictions </h2>
 Age restrictions limit the profile to viewing content suitable for the chosen age and below. To change the Age Restrictions on a profile:
<ul><li>Log into showmax.com or launch the Showmax app.</li><li>Access the Profiles screen via the Profile icon on the nav bar.</li><li>Choose the profile you want to edit.</li><li>Click on the pencil icon below the profile name.</li><li>In Settings, go to Age Restriction.</li><li>Select Change. </li><li>Enter your Showmax password. </li></ul>
 
Now you can choose between 3 levels of Age Restriction: 
<ul><li>Family - Restricts the profile to family-friendly shows rated PG and below. Content may contain mature themes which are unsuitable for young children.</li><li>Teen – Restricts the profile to content with ratings 13+ and 16+, or below. Parental guidance is required. </li><li>Adult - 18 - There are no content restrictions. Content may contain explicitly language, violence, substance abuse, sex and nudity.</li></ul>
 
If you&#39;re looking for even younger age restrictions, you can also create a <a href="https://www.showmax.com/za/help/article/does-showmax-have-kids-profiles" target="_blank">Kids Profile</a>.
Don&#39;t forget to Save.
 
<h2>Creating a Profile PIN </h2>
Once you set up a Profile PIN, you&#39;ll need it every time you want to play content from that profile. 
<ul><li>Log into showmax.com or launch the Showmax app.</li><li>Access the Profiles screen via the Profile icon on the nav bar.</li><li>Choose the profile you want to edit.</li><li>Click on the pencil icon below the profile name.</li><li>In Settings, turn the Profile PIN toggle on.</li><li>Enter your password.</li><li>Create and confirm the four-digit PIN.</li><li>Don&#39;t forget to Save.</li></ul>
 
You can change, reset or switch off your Profile PIN at any time from the Profile Settings menu.

On your card statement, after 'Showmax',  you'll see a 5-character billing descriptor next to the item you have been charged for. For example: 'Showmax 3BY4F'.
